External Heating System [EHS]
A ring around the M-DAC heats every part to bring a homogeneous temperature to the sample, up to 650–700 °C, with two sensors for control and measurement.
The system
The EHS is used to work at high temperature. A ring placed around the M-DAC heats all the parts so that a homogeneous temperature reaches the sample, and two sensors let you control and measure it.
The system ships complete: two thermocouple probes with connectors, one heating ring with connectors and one power supply. BETSA® can develop and study special sizes according to your needs, on request.
- Connections: 2 thermocouple inputs, type K, and 1 charge output.
- Ring inside diameter: 2” (50.8 mm) or 2-1/8” (54 mm).
- Heater width: 1” (25.4 mm) or 1-3/8” (35 mm).

Rings and probes
Adjustable Ring [ARR] — depending on the size of the M-DAC, the adjustable ring delivers between 400 and 700 watts, with diameters from 48 mm to 54 mm and heights from 25 to 38 mm.
Thermocouple [TTK0005] — BETSA® offers 0.127 µm type K thermocouple probes to recover the temperature almost in situ, in contact with the diamond. They are sold assembled, and as spare parts in sets of five.
