BETSA® is the data controller for the personal data described below. We have not appointed a data protection officer; write to the address above for any question about this policy.

What we collect, and why

When you write to us. The quote request form and the contact form ask for your name, your email address, your organisation and your message. That information is sent to us by email so that we can answer you. We use it for nothing else. We do not sell it, we do not rent it, and we do not add you to any mailing list.

When you browse the site, and only if you agree. We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and to see which pages are read. It tells us, for example, that a product page is read far more often than another, which helps us decide what to improve. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses, and we have not enabled any advertising or remarketing feature. No measurement takes place until you press Accept in the banner at the bottom of the page.

Server logs. Our host records the usual technical information for every request: the IP address, the date, the page requested and the browser used. These logs exist to keep the site running and secure. We do not use them to analyse behaviour.

Cookies

A cookie named betsa_consent records the choice you make in the banner, so that we do not ask again on every page. It lasts six months and contains a single word, granted or denied. This cookie is strictly necessary and is set whichever choice you make.

If, and only if, you accept, Google Analytics sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_G-0PLJGDQT3L. They give your browser an anonymous identifier so that two page views in the same visit are not counted as two visitors. They are set to expire after thirteen months. If you later press Refuse, they are deleted.

There are no advertising cookies, no social network trackers and no third-party scripts other than the one described here.

On what legal basis

The information you send through a form is processed on the basis of your request, so that we can answer it and, where relevant, prepare a quotation. Analytics measurement is processed on the basis of your consent, which you give freely and may withdraw at any time. Server logs are kept on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure website.

How long we keep it

Messages and quote requests are kept for three years after our last exchange, which is the usual commercial retention period, then deleted. Analytics data is kept by Google for fourteen months and is then removed automatically. Server logs are kept by our host for the period set out in their own policy, typically a few months. The consent cookie lasts six months.

Who else sees your data

Google Analytics is operated by Google LLC and Google Ireland Limited, who act as our processor. Data may be transferred outside the European Union under the European Commission adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the standard contractual clauses. Our email and our web hosting are provided by OVH SAS, whose servers are located in France. We share your data with no one else.

Your rights

You may ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to erase it, ask us to restrict or to stop a particular use, and ask us to send it to you in a portable format. Write to contact@betsa.fr and we will answer within one month. If you believe your rights are not respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority, at cnil.fr.

Changing your mind

You can withdraw or change your consent at any moment: click Cookies in the footer of any page and the banner comes back. Refusing costs exactly one click, the same as accepting.

Changes to this policy

This page was last updated on 18 August 2026. If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and, where the change is significant, ask for your consent again.
