External Cooler System [ECS]
Developed for laser heating. A copper body clamped around the cell carries away the heat that laser-matter interaction pushes into the M-DAC and its seats.
The system
When laser heating up to 4000 K, focused on the sample, thermal effects due to laser-matter interaction in metals can cause undesirable effects: the M-DAC starts to heat up, and so do the rockers and the seats. The external cooler takes that heat away.
The cooler is optimized for the BETSA® M-DAC in laser heating but can be manufactured for any other type of DAC. Recirculating refrigerated designs are available in a range of cooling capacities, with different temperature ranges and tank volumes on request.
- Closing by tightening screw on the external diameter.
- Mount fixed with Z adjustment of ±5 mm; table mounting on the BETSA® [XYZ3] is possible.
- Output horizontal or vertical, flexible tube and quick coupling.
